Safety Features in the Peugeot Rifter
Driving a Peugeot with the Auto France Open Europe Program comes with peace of mind knowing your rate includes full vehicle insurance coverage, a full factory warranty, and 24-hour roadside assistance. The advanced safety features that come standard in all Peugeot Rifter models include Electronic Stability Programming, the Hill Assist Descent Control, and the Distance Alert System. Electronic Stability Programming or ESP has 5 grip control modes: Standard, Snow, Mud, Sand, and ESP off to optimize traction in various conditions. Hill Assist Descent Control reduces risk of slipping on steep slopes greater than 5% gradient, and the Distance Alert System and Automatic Emergency Braking System detect other cars, pedestrians, and possible obstructions in your surroundings to prevent a collision. The function warns the driver visually, and in more severe circumstances will brake automatically if the driver doesn’t act fast enough. With a 4-star safety rating from the Euro NCAP, drivers and passengers can enjoy their travels across Europe worry-free.
Design and Technology in the Peugeot Rifter
The Rifter has classic Peugeot styling and a modern interior. The instinctive instrument panel is comfortably placed within the driver’s field of vision, with the latest generation of Peugeot’s iCockpit featuring intuitive design and an 8-inch color display. The “Mirror Screen” functionality is customizable and integrative with Apple CarPlay, Mirror Link, and Android Auto. The compact steering wheel allows for uncompromised visibility of the digital instrument panel and the road ahead. The useful 3D GPS connectivity can guide you through 40 countries across Europe.
For optimal maneuverability, the Rifter offers a 10.9m turning radius and high driving position. The second row has sliding doors on both sides for easy loading and unloading. Available in either Standard (5 total seats at 4.4m) and Long (7 total seats at 4.75m), the interior features convenient storage space for all items large and small: in the center console, doors, glove compartment, and under the seats.
“Clever Adaptability” and Options in the Peugeot Rifter
The biggest difference between the Standard (5 seat) or Long (7 seat) options is the available trunk space. However, individual seats can be folded completely flat into the floor, maximizing the adaptable storage space. Various configurations can be customized for your needs on the go. In the Long version with all passenger seats folded down, the driver can make use of up to 141 cubic feet of storage space. With roof bars running the length of the vehicle, the driver also has access to additional storage space. The driver can choose between a Manual or Automatic transmission, and a Diesel or Gasoline powered engine.
