What's Included
You get a brand-new Peugeot, which,
as an American tourist, you can use in Europe for any number of days between 17 and 175 (almost
6 months). This is what the travel industry calls a short-term auto lease. Longer contracts are available
to some holders of special visas issued by France or another member state of the European Union. Under the short-term auto lease you are the registered owner of a brand-new car but pay only the
charge required for the number of days you need. You sign a contract promising to return the car to Peugeot on the agreed
date, (or the date agreed to on a contract extension). Once the car is returned to Peugeot you are under no further
obligations. Our rates are all-inclusive. There
are no surprises, the price you pay up-front covers everything.
You
can drive your Peugeot all you want,; the mileage is unlimited.
There is
no drop-off surcharge for returning the car at a location different from pickup. The only charges associated with
pickup and delivery, are the ones published for locations outside of France.
Unlike
with rental companies, there is no charge for additional drivers.
There are
no maximum age restrictions and drivers as young as 18, the legal driving age in Europe, are allowed as long
as they hold a regular driver's license. (Rental cars routinely do not allow drivers over 70 or under 23, even 25
for some car categories.)
There is no tax to pay, as opposed to rental cars, which
are subject to the Value Added Tax (up to 20% in some countries) and to the airport tax for airport pickups.
You are covered by a Comprehensive auto insurance with full liability coverage
and zero deductible, valid through most of Europe.
Help is available 24 hrs a day and
7 days a week by calling the toll-free number of Peugeot Assistance, which relies on a network
of over 10000 Peugeot dealers and service points.
